|---|---|---|
| 3 October 2026 | Fact-check audit of all analyses | GILS checked every figure in its 48 analyses against the cited sources and primary data (Geostat, NBG, Pension Fund, ILO, IMF, Eurostat). Corrections: the GEL 249.7 subsistence minimum is dated December 2023, not 2024; the child allowance for socially vulnerable families has been GEL 200 since July 2023 (previously stated only as GEL 150); employed youth fell by about 3,300 between 2020 and 2023 (not 4,000); the share of employees in employment in 2025 was 69.2% (not 69.3%); employment fell 1.1 points in Q1 2026 (not 1.0); underutilisation ratios recalculated from unrounded data (LU4/LU1 2.06 in 2024); the self-employment share is 31.5% for 2024 and 30.7% for 2025; anti-discrimination cases averaged around 130 a year (not 120); unverifiable pension-fund returns replaced with the Fund's published 2025 returns; GTUC's 40%-of-earnings bill dated October 2023; the ILO's gender participation finding quoted as "24 per cent". Conclusions are unchanged. |
| 3 October 2026 | The EU Platform Work Directive and Georgia's couriers | Added that Glovo challenged the Labour Inspectorate's 2020 findings in court, as reported by Human Rights Watch (2021). |
| 3 October 2026 | Five analyses on wages, social dialogue and poverty | Titles and wording revised to neutral, evidence-based language (minimum wage; Tripartite Commission; collective bargaining; working poverty; GTUC–GEA memorandum). Findings and figures are unchanged. |
| 3 October 2026 | Trends & Skills analyses | Retitled as GILS Perspectives, with a statement on each that they are independent analyses, not ILO publications, and are not endorsed by the ILO. |
| 2 October 2026 | Youth unemployment and participation in Georgia (analysis) | The 2023 youth unemployment rate (ages 15–24) was given as 32%. Geostat's data by age group give 34.5% for 2023; 32.0% is the rate for 2025. The table and text were corrected; the conclusions are unchanged. |
| 2 October 2026 | AI, skills and young workers in Georgia | Youth figures were updated to Geostat's 2025 data (youth unemployment 32.0%, NEET rate for ages 15–24 17.6%), replacing a 2023 youth unemployment figure that had been given incorrectly as 32%. |
| October 2026 | Georgia and the ILO's Employment and Social Trends 2026 | Comparisons between Georgia and world figures now use ILO-harmonised estimates for Georgia (ILOSTAT), so that both sides of each comparison are calculated on the same basis. |
| October 2026 | Organisations and social dialogue pages | The founding date of the New Confederation of Independent Unions was corrected to 20 January 2020 (previously given as 2023), as reported by Publika. |
| October 2026 | Eleven articles and two pages | Citations to the website shroma.ge were removed after the domain passed to an unrelated party. Each affected statement was re-sourced to a verified original source (including Business Media Georgia, Netgazeti, OC Media, the Social Justice Center, Human Rights Watch and the EUR-Lex text of Directive (EU) 2022/2041), or removed where no reliable source could be found. |
When GILS finds or is told about a factual error, the content is corrected promptly. Substantive corrections are marked on the article itself with the date and the nature of the change, and listed here. Minor changes that do not affect meaning — spelling, formatting, broken links — are made without a note. GILS follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE); see Governance and Methodology.
Right of reply. Organisations and individuals discussed in GILS publications — including government bodies, trade unions, employers' organisations and companies — may submit a factual correction or a response. GILS will review it promptly, correct any error, and where appropriate publish the response, or a summary of it, alongside the analysis.
