Almost a third of young people in Georgia's labour force were unemployed in 2025 — about twice the EU rate.

Geostat publishes labour force data for the age groups 15–19 and 20–24. GILS calculates the 15–24 rate as unemployed persons aged 15–24 divided by the labour force aged 15–24, using Geostat's unrounded figures. Youth unemployment rates are based on a small labour force — many young people are in education — so they move more from year to year than the overall rate.
Figures are official national statistics — Geostat (Georgia), Armstat (Armenia), the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan — and Eurostat for the EU-27, using the latest published period. Georgia (since 2020, with 2010–2019 recalculated) and Armenia (since 2018) apply the 19th International Conference of Labour Statisticians standard, under which subsistence food producers are not counted as employed. Azerbaijan's national methodology may differ. Indicators are compared only where comparable official data exist. Data checked October 2026.
